WELCOME TO BUDS, SEEDLINGS & SAPLINGS

We have been working very hard in our outside area to try to provide more purposeful activities for the children. In half term we moved the fence to allow a greater area in which the children could play and learn. This also means that the children have daily access to the trim trail, weather permitting. Ray Stewart our chair of governors has very kindly donated some cable reels which we have placed around the garden to use as tables, and have even covered some in blackboard chalk.

We have managed to move a lot of resources out of the shed and into baskets that the children can access independently. We have asked local businesses for donations of these baskets, and we only need a few more.

When out for a walk, we stopped at a construction site and asked for any donations and were really pleased when the next day a delivery had been left by our gate. The children have been using our construction site really well, drawing plans of what they are going to build, and telling us “no adults allowed!”

We are continuing to develop the garden and hope to bring pictures of our completed mark making areas soon, along with photos of the mud kitchen.
